Joshua Cassidy

Coach Joshua Cassidy was hired as our Head Coach on January 19, 2021. Coach Cassidy joined the Harrison Hoya coaching staff in 2013. in 2014 Coach Cassidy was named Assistant Head Coach. During his tenure Coach Cassidy has served as our Assistant Head Coach, Special Teams Coordinator, and Defensive Coordinator. Coach Cassidy’s greatest accomplishment during his tenure with the Hoyas, is serving the Harrison community while building relationships with the staff, players, and members of the community. Along with his coaching responsibilities at Harrison High, Joshua will teach strength training in the physical education department. Prior to and during his professional career, Coach Cassidy earned his Doctorate degree in 2019 from Liberty University, his Master’s degree in 2004 from Virginia Tech, and his Bachelor’s degree from Liberty University in 2002. Coach Cassidy and his wife and best friend, Alissa Cassidy, are parents to their three baby boys, Joshua Daniel “JD” II, Aiden Joseph, & Connor Allan.

Offensive Coordinator

Bobby Thompson

Coach Thompson is a 1994 graduate of Harrison HS and a 1999 graduate of Kennesaw State University. He has spent his entire football coaching career at Harrison.

He began coaching summer camps while at Harrison and also coached in the Jr. Program. A member of the Varsity staff since 2002, he also serves as the head JV Coach.

Bobby is a social studies teacher focusing on AP Economics and Government/Economics. He also coaches the Mock Trial Team which competes in the spring. He is a member of St. Joseph's Church in Marietta and enjoys reading, sporting events and outdoors. He is single and resides in Paulding County.

Safeties

Nick Williamson

Coach Williamson hails from Wayne County Georgia where he was a 4 year football letterman for the Yellow Jackets and a 1990 graduate of Wayne County High School.

He is an alumni of Union College in Barbourville, KY where he lettered all 4 years as a student athlete, highlighted by playing at the Safety position and winning the Mid South Conference with the Bulldog program.

Coach Williamson has served as a Defensive Coordinator and Strength Coach for 15 of his 20 years in coaching Varsity Football. During his tenure, he has been fortunate enough to coach many athletes to see their goals of reaching the collegiate level, 1 player with the Dallas Cowboys organization and has been a part of Region Championships, 2 undefeated regular seasons and many State Playoff appearances.

This is his 3rd season coaching in the Athletic Department of Harrison High School and his 20th year as an educator in the classroom. He and his wife Christen are proud members of the Hoya community and have two children, Caleb and Ellie Mai.

Emmitt Hill

Coach Emmett Hill enters his first year as the Hoyas corners coach. He has 15+ years of coaching experience on both sides of the ball at multiple levels including college and high school. A native of Georgia, Coach Hill is a graduate of Creekside High School in Fairburn, GA. He was a 4-year lettermen in football and track & field for the Seminoles. After graduation, Coach Hill attended the US Naval Academy and later transferred to Georgia Tech, where he finished his playing career playing both running back and wide receiver. Coach Hill later earned his Bachelors degree in Business Management from Southern Polytechnic State University and his Master’s degree in Sports Management from American Public University. He is married to the incredible Natasha Hill and they have two wonderful young men in the Hoya program- Emmett, a senior (#45) and Xavier, a freshman (#1).
Offensive Line

BJ Lock

Coach Lock is entering his third year at Harrison High School coaching Varsity & JV offensive line. He coached offensive line at Campbell High School in Smyrna before joining Harrison in spring of 2014.

Coach Lock also coaches the Harrison Varsity Track and Field Shot Put and Discus.

Coach Lock works in the Special Education Department at Harrison. He and his wife Kim have 3 teenagers and 2 dogs! He enjoys woodworking and NASCAR in his spare time.

Running Backs

Travis Farmer

Coach Farmer is a 2013 graduate of Brookwood High School in Snellville, GA. While there he participated in both Football and Golf. He received multiple player of the week awards his senior year for football and was a part of the program for the 2010 State Championship in football.

After High School, Coach Farmer went to Georgia Southern for two years before transferring to Kennesaw State University to become a History Education Major. He graduated from KSU, Magna Cum Laude, in May 2018. He has been a part of the Harrison community since that summer when he joined the basketball program and started teaching that fall of 2018. During 2019 Coach Farmer left basketball to join the Freshman football staff and to become the Head Golf Coach. In 2020 Coach Farmer joined the Varsity Football Staff as the Tightends coach, film coordinator, and assistant special teams coach.

Coach Farmer currently teaches Sociology, and Honors World History.

He is currently married to his wife Taylor; they do not have any kids yet.

Wide Receivers

Jeff Meese

Coach Meese grew up in Northern California where he attended San Ramon Valley High School and was a three-year letterman and starting quarterback. He played collegiately at Chico State University, Diablo Valley Junior College, and Cal State Hayward. After his college career he played one season for the Amsterdam Crusaders in the European American Football League.

He began his coaching career at his alma mater San Ramon Valley High School and eventually became the offensive coordinator at Diablo Valley College in the early 1990’s. He moved to Georgia in 1996 and was as an assistant football coach and head tennis coach at Woodward Academy from 1999-2011.

Coach Meese came to Harrison High School in the fall of 2011. He is a member of the Social Studies Department and teaches Civics/Economics, United States History, and World Geography. Along with his football duties, he is also the Varsity Boy’s Head Tennis Coach.

Coach Meese lives in Kennesaw with his wife Darleen and their two children Naila and Brady. In his free time, he goes to the beach at Hilton Head Island, listens to country music, and plays golf with his wife.

Head Athletic Trainer

Tyler Good

Tyler Good has been serving at Harrison High School since January of 2021. He is in his fourth year as an Athletic Trainer and has experience in collegiate and professional settings as well. Prior to working at PT Solutions, Tyler served as an Athletic Trainer at Colorado Christian University while earning his MBA in Healthcare Administration. Tyler earned his Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training from Georgia Southern University. Tyler enjoys having the opportunity to be a mentor to students and is always willing to lend a helping hand when needed. He is from Woodstock, GA, and was recently married to his wife Sarah.
