Coach Swanson is a 2017 graduate of Harrison and a 2021 graduate of Birmingham- Southern College. He spent all four years of high school playing football and basketball at Harrison. He then spent two years playing and two years coaching for the Birmingham-Southern football team assisting both sides of the ball. He was the varsity Defensive Line Coach last year and will be assisting the Freshman Offensive and Defensive Line this year.
Billy teaches Algebra at Harrison and is working on his Master’s degree in Education. He also assists with the basketball team at Harrison. In his free time he enjoys listening to music and other various recreational activities.
Jason is a graduate of McEachern High school and spent four years with the Indians as a linebacker. Jason attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York where he earned his degree in Systems Engineering with a concentration in economics and spent four years as a defensive back on the Army football team. After graduating in 1999, he served as a United States Army officer for five years stationed at Fort Sill, OK. He received three Army Achievement medals, an Army Commendation medal, and the Bronze Star medal while serving in Iraq as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Jason left the Army as Captain and began pursuing his career in the financial industry and started coaching football through several organizations. This marks Jason’s sixth season with the Hoya’s as a freshman assistant. Jason and his wife Kristi reside in Powder Springs with their 4 children.
